One of those days.

September 28th, 2009 No comments

It is one of those days today where there are a few horse races that almost make the criteria.  While it is always tempting to push it and risk some of these races, I always resist from doing so.

I like to read my own article Keeping Your Head on days like this, just as a gentle reminder.

The trading on the NFL yesterday was as good as ever and brought in a nice little haul.  I am a big fan of the game so watching while trading is a real pleasure.

No trading today for me then. I might have to have a luch time game of Poker though!

NFL Week 3 San Francisco 49ers @ Minnesota Vikings

September 25th, 2009 1 comment

Writing for the Betfair blog earlier I was examining the chances of San Francisco taking the win when they visit the Minnesota Vikings this Sunday.

They have really impressed me with their play and their attitude off of the field.  They look like, well, a team!

It should be a game worth watching too.  Frank Gore is on fire for the 49ers and Adrian Peterson is the key man on the Vikings side.  Both should provide some exciting play, it may even end up being a classic battle.

The system does not pick it up as a clean win for the 49ers, but it does highlight the trading opportunities.  With the pre-match odds so high on the 49ers there is profit to be made here.  I am planning to put a back bet in and then trade out when the odds drop.  I’ll probably set my trade out odds before the game and leave the computer to do the work.

NFL Week 3 Tennessee Titans @ New York Jets

Tennessee Titans @ New York Jets Preview

I have my eye on this as a great game for trading on. The odds on offer on the Titans are wide open for a good bit of profit.

I think it is going to have to be a quick in and out job though. I am hoping that the Titans will look good in the first quarter and the odds will come in, so that I can trade out. If things don’t go to plan then I will probably trade out anyway for a small loss rather than leaving myself open for too long.

New Orleans Saints at Philadelphia Eagles Preview

New Orleans Siants @ Philadelphia Eagles Preview:

I reported earlier in the week on my Betfair blog (see my About page for the link) that the odds on the saints were dropping fast. Looking at the news I still think that it was a great bet. If you got on at the right time you could now trade out for a profit before the game has even started!

NFL Betting Tips Miami Dolphins v Atlanta Falcons

September 13th, 2009 No comments

There are a few bets I will be maig on the NFL this Sunday starting with this Miami Dolphins v Atlanta Falcons.

I will be looking for Miami to continue their great form from last year and am frankly amazed by the odds on offer for them today Click to view current odds . They make a great trading opportunity at the very least and discussed more about this on the Betfair Canada blog.

Enjoy the game today, don’t forget your free £25 ($50) bet and good luck if you have a bet today.

Tennessee Titans v Pittsburgh Steelers Picks and Predictions

September 8th, 2009 No comments

Week 1 of the NFL is finally here and the Thursday night game sees the Titans visit Super Bowl camps the Steelers.

It should be a great game and there are some amazing odds on offer for the Titans. I’ll be taking these with a view to trading out during the game. I do think the Steelers will take the win, so from a straight bet point-of-view I would go with that, but with the odds so high on the Titans it would seem a shame not to trade.

NFL Season is Almost Here

September 1st, 2009 No comments

I am really looking forward to both the season and the betting. It seems to have been a long time coming, but the systems are ready and it should be an interesting year.

I write from a non-betting point of view at Mac Talks NFL, and we will also be running a bit of a prediction comp over there. It will be interesting to see if the computer gets beaten by gut feel this year. Last year it was equal.

Be sure to check back for betting predictions and stratagies here as the season kicks off.

NFL Prediction System

June 2nd, 2009 No comments

There has been a lack of updates recently while I work on my new NFL prediction system. It will be using a wider range of criteria than last years one, so I am hoping for some good results.

Only one way to test it though, roll on the start of the season!
