Cycling Betting: Giro d’Italia – Is now the time to back Armstrong?
Lance Armstrong’s odds have drifted to 20 overnight (Click to view current odds)after he didn’t contest the sprint finish in yesterdays stage. But could this now be the time to back rhim ather than write him off?…
Lets have a look at the standings….
1 Thomas LOVKVIST 13h05’28″
2 Danilo DI LUCA 2″
3 Michael ROGERS 0 6″
4 Yaroslav POPOVYCH 0 26″
5 Levi LEIPHEIMER 0 26″
6 Lance ARMSTRONG 0 28″
So, Armstrong has actually closed the gap slightly from what he had yesterday. The odds have not moved because of his performance really, they have just moved becuase bettors are worried that he will not have the legs to keep it up.
I am looking at it from the other angle. He is riding a tactical race, and while he may not win I would hope to see his odds come in again, and when they do I would look to trade out of the bet using a betting exchange such as Betfair.
