Tour de France Betting : It is almost here! This weekend sees the start of the Tour de France 2009 (current odds for Tour de France), I will be following the race closely and posting up Tour de France Betting Tips when I find a good opportunity.

I have been thinking about my Tour de France Predictions for a couple of days. While the return of Lance Armstrong has effected the betting odds somewhat, we shouldn’t get carried away as he will most probably be playing a backup role to his team leader Alberto Contador. Contador, must show early though that he is No.1 if he has a hope of keeping Armstrong in place.

Stage one starts in Monaco, which should be simply fantastic. I really enjoyed covering the Formula 1 action there earlier in the year, and while the cycling will be somewhat slower it will still have man and machine on the limit. I will be posting my Monaco Stage One Time Trial Betting Predictions later in the week.

Cadel Evans will also be looking to put those near misses behind him. If his team can support him well and perform in the team time trials then there is a chance that this will be his year.
