NFL Week 4 New York Jets @ New Orleans Saints Betting Preview:

Thsi game promises to be one of the most exciting to watch this weekend as the Jets visit the Saints. Both teams are unbeaten so far and will be looking to keep that record in place.

While the Saints have had no trouble getting points on the board, the Jets have been very good at keeping them off, so this could be the team that puts a stop to Drew Brees and the relentless Saints offence.

There is some great movement for trading on the Jets as their odds have been set so high (much too high in my opinion).  My stategy will be to trade on Betfair (You can get a £25 free bet by clicking here). I will be looking to take an early back bet (which is available at around 3.4 at time of writing) and set a higher lay to fire in at about 2.3 giving a profit on either outcome.  I do feel that the Jets have a good chance here, but I like to err on the side of caution and get out of the market as soon as I can.  Greed is a bank buster in this game!

Should be a great game. I think that the Saints will come out with the win, but the Jets are still being underestimated. I would have expected odds to be a little more even.

    Should be trading heaven John!

I hope the Jets reach my odds limit quickly so that I can relax and enjoy watching the game.

Where do you come up with the 2.3 number? Do you figure that at some point during the game odds will be about even, or do you find that this number comes up often?

I usually find that there is a resistance point just below this, so I lay just above to try and get out quickly. There is an amount of gut feel there too. It depends on the starting odds and the game, nothing is certain.

If I am watching the game then I would normally trade a few times throughout, but the delay (and the recent problems)on the NFL Gamepass feed we get in the UK can make that tricky.

I like it. Buffalo showed us last week that the best way to stop Drew Brees is by getting pressure on him. The Jets pressure the quarterback very well with their unique blitz schemes. There should be a good chance of odds reaching close to even in the game. I still like the Saints to win, but maybe there is value on the Jets with the present odds.

Betting with a delay sucks. I got caught last week betting on the Tour Championship while watching the third round on television, that said “live”, but the round had been completed earlier in the day for some reason. Luckily I only made one small bet on a longshot before I decided to check the leaderboard on the PGA site.
